This hypermedia critical edition of Ernest Hemingway's "Banal Story" was originally developed between January and April of 2005 at UNLV, and elsewhere in Las Vegas, NV, by Quimby Melton for PhD course credit in Richard Harp's Spring 2005 English 795 ("Textual Editing") class.

The project was created using what was then Macromedia's, and is now Adobe's, Dreamweaver and Fireworks. A copy of the project journal, which gives a more extensive account of the composition process, can be downloaded here:

The critical edition was merged into the project section of the Studio Hyperset WordPress framework in late April and early May 2011 and relaunched as a part of that site on May 8, 2011. On April 19, 2014, it was moved to SCRIPTjr.nl.
