Nico Vassilakis works with the alphabet both textually and visually. His recent books include Protracted Type (Blue Lion Books, 2009), Disparate Magnets (BlazeVOX Books, 2009), staReduction (Book Thug, 2008), and Text Loses Time (Many Penny Press, 2007). His vispo videos have been shown at festivals and exhibits of innovative language art. Nico was a founding member of the Subtext Collective and is editing a major international anthology of visual poetry, The Last Vispo Anthology: 1998-2008, with Crag Hill. The anthology contains over 130 contributors from over 20 countries.
