"Despite its diverse content, ... SCRIPTjr.nl is essentially concerned with just two relationships: (a) that between textual culture and visual culture; (b) that between mainstream literary culture and fringe writers and texts."

The largely overlooked Lesescenario, or "closet screenplay," belongs to a tradition of "readerly" performance literature that can help screenwriters subvert their marginalization as writers and the marginalization of their texts as literary objects.
